Painted Bouquet on Blush Canvas PrintSeen beside linen, the painted bouquet loses nostalgia and gains grit. The brushwork stays loose and confident, and the soft pink ground keeps it warm rather than sweet. Put it up and the room feels lighter. A quiet bedroom finds its softer side, and a dressing room or hallway picks up colour without losing calm. It hangs best above a low bed, a dressing table or a slim console somewhere you walk past at eye level. A pale wall lets the blues and pinks

and a plain dining nook gets a personality

and the symmetry brings a bit of order without going stiff

Best on a clear wall in a living room

notice what the deep blue does to white-painted plaster

and let one or two stoneware pieces echo the rust tones

above a sideboard in the hallway

It also holds a hallway end-wall on its own

Pair with oak or pine timber

The whole piece sits in a haze of pond

A painterly Cotswolds street scene in honey stone

A kitchen or dining room gets a personality lift the moment this goes up

and that's the trick — your room borrows the same glow
