In a quiet bedroom or a slightly underdressed hallway

A trailing plant nearby or a stoneware lamp in cream completes it without trying too hard

Looks especially sharp framed in black or dark wood

Hang it eye-level on a narrow wall — between two doors

The soft pink ground

and one quiet companion at most

or just above the furniture

or on a narrow wall beside a doorway

Best above a low sideboard

It sits beautifully above a low chest of drawers in a nursery
