Storm Clouds by Arthur Dove Art PrintThis isn't wall filler. It's oxblood crimson with a point of view. Arthur Dove's storm cloud landscape changes a living room the way a real painting does the wall stops being decoration and starts holding a gaze. Hang it at eye level above a low sideboard or a reading sofa, somewhere with warm late afternoon light to catch the mauve and moss. Pair it with aged leather, raw linen, brass picture lights and a hand thrown stoneware vessel in clay or plum.

The eye follows the curve of the road into the valley

a man-cave living room

slightly lower above a console

Hang it on a chalky off-white wall above a low oak sideboard or linen sofa

the pink and orange just bring the smile

The canvas finish softens the brushwork edges and adds depth to the painted texture

It sits well above a low bed

The shape is bold and graphic

inky blue — sit beautifully alongside

with one peach bloom doing the quiet heavy lifting

Works above a slim console

pale buildings and small figures in soft blue and green
