Sunlit Italian Hillside Art PrintYes, Matisse inspired illustration knew how to charm a room and how to cut. This sunlit Italian hillside leans on the same bright shapes and confident colour, with a cream villa, dark cypresses and big leafy foreground plants in deep green and sky blue. What it does to a room: it warms the wall. The mustard fields and warm sandy path pull in golden light, while the deep greens stop everything turning sugary. The wall feels brighter and a few degrees

Skip very corporate

The warm orange roofs and bright pink bougainvillea pull through anything terracotta

The market poster pulls warm reds

Brass handles and lamps lift the warm tones nicely

Avoid stacking it next to other busy geometric prints or competing typography — this one wants air around it so the line work can do its job

Avoid crowding it with busy florals

and the original exhibition type along the bottom

just with better drawing

leaning postcards and a wall of recipe cards will fight it

specific and a little romantic

pale rattan and cream ceramics

The intricate design of a majestic white peacock surrounded by lush florals creates a serene and sophisticated vibe
