Rainy Day Cat at the Window Art PrintOpen the curtains at mid morning; the mustard yellow will handle the drama. A black cat keeps watch on a sunny windowsill while soft rain falls over pink, sage, navy and coral buildings. The mood is cosy without being twee, and the colours stay gentle enough to live with every day. Hang it where you want a small lift of warmth: a reading nook, a kitchen corner, a child's bedroom or a quiet hallway. It works well above a low shelf, a chest of drawers

Keep nearby art simple — one playful piece per wall

Pairs well with brass fittings

so the cream background stays soft rather than glaring

stoneware and a brass reading lamp

or in a kids' room above a reading chair

Choose unframed for the raw poster look

The orange and pink warm up cooler rooms without shouting

a bed or a console

It also works as a statement piece at the end of a hallway

Put this up and the room settles

or the bit of a living room that always feels a little dead — anywhere the colour can do its work

or in a breakfast nook where people actually eat
