Description

Red-Crowned Crane and Blossom Canvas PrintBack in the 1920s, this crane belonged to another kind of home a tatami room with sliding screens and a low lacquered table. Now it asks for a wall in your house. A deep teal background holds a tall white and black crane with a small red crown, cream blossom branches above and gold bamboo and waves below. The room quietens around it. Hang it in a bedroom, a hallway, or beside the dining table where you want one quiet, vertical anchor. Pair with dark

stoneware and linen in oat or terracotta

breaks up a cream kitchen

terracotta and painted joinery in cream or soft green

A narrow hallway wall handles it too if you want a hit of colour on the way through

The room opens up

the geometry needs space to breathe

youll find new details to savor—reminding you that style doesnt have to be fussy

It also sits nicely above a small bed in a guest room

making your walls feel curated and inviting

but the deep navy wave bands cut through and stop it tipping into sweet

Don't crowd it with loud pattern or other strong figurative pieces — it wants room to breathe
