Description

Strawberry Scarf Cat Canvas PrintIn the 1950s, this would have felt radical. It still does. A white cat in a dark green strawberry scarf, painted with loose brushwork and a quiet sense of humour. The room around it warms up immediately. Walls feel less blank, a kitchen shelf reads as styled rather than functional, a child's room gets a piece of art that isn't trying too hard to be cute. Hang it above a sideboard, a reading chair, a changing table or a low bookcase. It works with

Warm metals like brass sit well

more lived-in

with the coral dog and pink flowers picking up anything terracotta or rust already in the room

It sits beautifully in a calm bedroom above a low headboard

oak timber and brass candleholders

the olive and deep green ground it

Hang it solo on a narrow stretch of wall

Hang it in a study above a writing desk

stoneware mugs and a stack of cookbooks

Skip the cool grey or icy blue scheme

or on a quiet bedroom wall where you want something to look at properly
