Hewitson - Ungrafted Shiraz 2024 750ml"Old dry grown vines are rare in the world of wine and we are indeed fortunate that we can and do claim these as ungrafted. Growing in deep sandy soils, free of pests and diseases these old vines are strong, resilient and true to type. With red ripe berries and golden ripe stalks the grapes were picked at optimum ripeness, destemmed and gently crushed leaving some whole berries intact then fermented in open vats with heading down boards for three

wishy washy tasting stuff for us: our Pinot Gris is still crisp and fresh with all the attitude you love just half the alcohol

we put the stress on having a fast malolactic fermentation in order to keep the freshness of the wine and ensure the purest aromas

The vineyard was planted in the early 90’s on its own rootstock

a result of three uniquely-toasted malts

"Vasse Felix

The grapes are picked in the cool of the night and transported to the winery where they are de--stemmed and crushed

A refreshing and super drinkable hoppy beer with notes of cantaloupe

it was a truly proud and full circle moment for us all here at Range

and one that will reward careful cellaring for years to come

so we've gone hard on a huge addition of Riwaka

with a hint of pepper that adds a subtle warmth
