Description

Playful Tiger on Pink Canvas PrintBy 4pm, the tiger stops looking decorative and starts working. Once daylight softens and lamps come on, the burnt orange holds its own against the soft pink and pulls the eye straight to the wall. A quiet room gains a bit of personality. A child's room gains a friend with attitude. The hand drawn lines stop the colour from feeling sugary and keep it grounded. Hang it eye level over a chest of drawers, a low bookcase or a small painted bench. It works

A kitchen with pale wood gets a holiday feeling without leaning kitsch

Don't crowd it with other bold prints

Plaster walls and warm whites carry it best

We like bouquets best when they come with a little abrasion

or as the main piece in a reading corner

and the loose brushwork keeps it relaxed rather than formal

and the pops of orange

the botanical bird poster turns from nice idea to main character

and the Miami lettering plants a flag in the room

and ceramics in greens and creams

Stretched on canvas with clean edges

Don't try to make it sit quietly next to a serious oil painting — it wants neighbours with a sense of humour
