Description

Bakery Hill - Double Wood Single Malt 500ml"Our Double Wood expression is a reflection of the impact of rich, soft oak on the pure Bakery Hill unpeated new make spirit. Our Classic spirit is initially matured for up to 7 years in American Oak Ex Bourbon barrels from Jack Daniels, before being transferred to a virgin French Oak ex wine barrel, shaved back to bare wood, and then given a light toast to highlight the oak itself rather than any of the previous contents of the barrel. Single barrel

Unfined and unfiltered at bottling to capture the subtle nuances

Region: Nagambie Lake

It has an old growth forest feel about it

The great thing about planting young vines is that you can choose the site and the material purely for the sake of quality wine

"The 2010 Barbaresco Vigneto Starderi is born in a vineyard that sits at 330 meters above sea level

Luscious and full-bodied

The nose is a big bloom of inimitable Nelson aromas: fuzzy fruit

"Sourced from a late ripening site at 480m

Still with a big emphasis on Cake Eater's & the occasional feels but here we get to step outside some of the constraints we have set for ourselves within those series beers

The nose on this wine is delightful
