Description

Moroccan Courtyard Escape Canvas PrintBy late afternoon, the courtyard stops looking decorative and starts working. The pinks warm up, the green sky calms down, and the little black cat becomes the thing your eye keeps coming back to. The room around it loosens. Walls that felt blank suddenly have somewhere to point. Hang it on a hallway wall, above a console in the entryway, or in a kitchen that needs more colour than it has timber. It lifts darker corners and gives a plain painted wall

or on a calm wall between two windows

Skip it if your room is already busy with strong florals or competing brights — this piece does best with calm furnishings around it

Don't crowd it with other busy florals — let it be the loud one

Put this on the wall and the room breathes out

Skip anything else loud and blue on the same wall

A plain bedroom or hallway suddenly has something to look at without shouting about it

A cream rug and a green plant in the corner finish the look

It works on a chalky off-white or pale blue wall

an entryway facing the door

teal and yellow easing the room

Avoid heavy ornate frames

and a touch more grown-up — the kind of wall that quietly does the work in the evening when the lamps come on
