Description

William Morris Woodland Mushrooms Art PrintAt late afternoon, the woodland mushrooms turn from nice idea to main character. The deep reds and cream pop against dark green leaves, and the room suddenly feels warmer and more curious. It gives a quiet wall something to talk about without going maximalist. Hang it in a kitchen, entryway or cosy reading corner somewhere people slow down for a minute. It works above a console with a stoneware lamp, next to an oak coat rail, or above a painted

with a bit of breathing room around the edges

It needs to be at standing eye-level so the joke lands

the dark wings give the room a proper anchor

the room gets a pulse

or propped on a shelf beside a few favourite books

a simple shelf of cookbooks

but the line work keeps things interesting

eat or make tea

Hang it near the coffee machine

cypress trees and rolling fields done in loose watercolour and ink

so the rest of the kitchen can stay pared back

You get used to it being there
