Olive Coupe on Tobacco Art Print'Too safe,' said nobody standing in front of olive green on tobacco brown. The colour pairing alone does most of the work warm, grown up, and slightly retro without tipping into novelty. Hang it and the room takes on a quiet garage lounge mood, the sort of corner where a whisky lives on the shelf and the speakers actually get used. It earns its place above a leather chair, behind a desk, or on a study wall where the timber is already warm. Pair with

A bit of aged brass picks up the lemon tones

A painterly martini glass sits centre stage in mustard yellow

a kitchen nook

so narrow walls and chimney breasts suit it well

Pick a warm wood and the whole picture settles into the room instead of shouting at it

inviting a sense of adventure and tranquility into your space

Hang it and the room settles: green pulls the eye

Hang it above a low console in the hallway

condensed word on warm off-white

Stretched on a wooden frame with a soft matte surface that keeps the brushwork looking hand-painted up close

A plain pale wall stops feeling like a waiting area and starts feeling like a room someone actually loves being in

The pinks soften the wall
