Description

Wood Stork by John James Audubon Art PrintPut bluntly, your study can carry more deep blue than it thinks. This vintage Audubon stork brings stillness without going beige a single bird against a moody, wooded river, with cream feathers and surprisingly bold legs. It calms a wall without flattening it, and gives a quiet room a proper point of interest. Hang it at eye level above a writing desk, console or armchair, or use it as the lead piece in a small hallway. It plays nicely with dark wood,

a sherbet-pink road running through

or down a hallway that needs a breath

Not a sofa-anchor — this one wants to be noticed up close

Hang it where people actually sit — beside a reading chair

cream bouclé and a stoneware planter or two

and the dense floral background does the heavy lifting once the eye settles

an office or a calm hallway suits it

and suddenly the wall has a destination on it

Don't crowd it with other busy travel scenes or hot tropical prints — it wants room to do its quiet thing on canvas

The red sail pulls the eye in first

stoneware and warm metals — anything with a bit of texture

or as a feature in a hallway you walk past every day
