Yellow Longhorn Beetle PrintHand drawn colored pencil illustration. Giclee printed on 100% cotton fibre, 290 gsm acid free, conservation grade, Italian milled fine art paper. The deep cobalt, aqua, and sunset yellow of this longhorn beetle (Sternotomis mirabilis targavei) from Sub Saharan Africa is one of the most striking color combinations I have ever seen in nature. Working in an entomology collection, I get to see an extraordinary range of specimens but this one stops me

Technically it is a planthopper (Calyptoproctus stigma)

Artwork measures 6 x 8 inches and comes matted and ready to pop into an 8 x 10 inch frame
