Description

Lippincott's July by J. J. Gould Art PrintWhat it adds isn't clutter. It's vertical tension in the right places. The deep blue ground pulls a room together, the red lettering gives it a heartbeat, and the tan suit warms the whole thing up. Hang it where you want a wall to feel less polite a hallway, a study, the bit of stair wall that always looks bare. It works above a desk, a console or a tan leather chair, and it likes the company of dark wood, brass and stacked books. Don't park it next

a teal pot

The hard verticals pull the eye up

It works hardest in a modern office

What changes when it goes up: the room warms up by a notch

The canvas finish softens the linework and warms the whole panel

The coral lifts neutral schemes

where the warm pink can spread across the wall around it

A warm bulb in a nearby lamp helps the pink sit right

with one warm orange edge and a single yellow ball doing all the talking

scattered with little stars

It changes the mood of a bedroom or bathroom faster than a new lampshade

Avoid hanging it next to other heavy text pieces or busy florals — the script wants room to breathe
