Reflections by the Pool Art PrintThink of it as Matisse with less reverence and better instincts. Two tiny figures stand by a quiet blue pool, soft pink sky overhead, dark green trees mirrored in the water. Hung up, it slows a room down the kind of piece that makes a corner feel still rather than empty. Works above a low sideboard in a living room, beside a cot in a nursery, or over a bedside table where you want something soft to look at last thing. Pair it with pale oak, cream

The kind of picture that makes a kitchen feel like somewhere people actually eat

and pulls a busy room together with one clear shape

depending on the day

A serious wall becomes a friendlier one

Hang it where the room already feels calm and a little under-decorated — above a sofa

It's the sort of art that lets a room breathe

Skip the busy florals and the gallery-wall instinct here — this one wants to be seen on its own

Don't sit it next to anything loud or graphic — it wants quieter company

A loose hand-drawn bottle and glass with a quiet joke written across them — Wine time

Terracotta pots and cream ceramics sit naturally with it

The deep blues pull the eye

the turquoise reads less sweet
