Description

The Late GeorgianThe Late Georgian fireplace captures the restrained elegance of the Neoclassical era, boasting a grand yet uncluttered mantel and fluted pilasters rising to meet exquisitely carved rosette paterae. The rosette a nod to the classical influences of Greek architecture and the delicate bas relief motifs soften the fireplace's architectural silhouette, making it a grand but inviting focal point.

The columns are adorned with warm earth tones

yet featuring more prominent pilasters than the Adam Classical fireplace

Each detail has been meticulously hand-crafted to honour the lightness and elegance typical of Adam’s designs

the squared columns feature acanthus motifs (symbols for immortality) and a central frieze roundel

The gentle curves and straight lines converge to embody a period where architectural styles evolved

where the textures of the natural stone enhance the depth and presence of this fireplace

an emblem of historical grandeur from a transformative era in design

which perfectly captures the essence of English country living

We have carefully constructed the proportions to elevate the design’clean lines

This fireplace features a sweeping arch accented with subtly recessed panels

though our team adapted the original from wood to natural stone

It is best crafted in warm limestone or sandstone
