Description

Scotland Thistle Fields Travel Poster Art PrintSomewhere between a modern travel poster and mid century illustration, this thistle cityscape refuses to behave. The Scottish skyline sits low and purple under a soft pink sky, and the thistles in front do most of the talking. Hang it and the room cools by a degree. Sharp corners soften. A plain wall suddenly has a horizon line and a bit of weather, without going moody on you. It works best on a calm wall above a bed, a console in the hallway, or a

a domed church and bougainvillea tumble down toward an Amalfi-blue sea

pink and inky black — peer out from a dense

Avoid stacking it with too many other busy animal prints — this one wants to be the talker on the wall

and suddenly the corridor feels like it leads somewhere

Don't crowd it with another busy floral or a second portrait — let this one carry the wall

Works well above a sideboard

The warm brown ground keeps it grounded

It also holds its own as a solo piece in a narrow hallway or beside a reading chair

Matisse knew how to charm a room — and how to cut

or on a kitchen feature wall where you want a bit of colour without going chaotic

The kitchen feels a bit more like somewhere a person actually cooks

no loud florals next door — this one wants room to breathe
