Description

Alpine Lake and Pine Forest Art PrintThe oak frame matters first; it tells the living room you're serious. The cool greens, turquoise water and grey mountain settle a busy wall into something quieter without making the room feel cold. Hang it above a sofa or a low console at eye level, where the vertical composition pulls the eye up and makes the ceiling feel taller. Pair with linen upholstery, oak or walnut timber, stoneware in earth tones, and a wool rug. Skip anything too tropical,

snug or bedroom — eye-level above a sofa

stoneware and a few terracotta pots

the painted shutters and the figures all sit in a careful little rhythm — it's a holiday postcard with proper composition behind it

or beside the bath where little eyes can find it

or sunny hallway — anywhere you want a small holiday feeling on the way past

or on the kitchen feature wall where you stand to make coffee

especially against a cream or chalky off-white wall

and suddenly the room has a centre of gravity it didn't have before

Works solo on a narrow wall between doors

scribbled in by someone who was clearly enjoying themselves

it wants to be the main event

It likes a wall on its own — above a console in the hallway
