White Dog and Pink House Art PrintWhat's the nursery missing? Soft pink with some nerve. A loyal white dog sits in front of a little pink house on a warm terracotta ground naive, hand painted, and quietly funny. The room shifts. Walls feel warmer. The whole space reads softer without going saccharine. Hang it at child eye level above a low dresser, on a chimney breast in a cosy hallway, or above a reading chair where the dog gets to keep watch. It works with oak or pine furniture,

soft pink and yellow houses

painted with a slow brush — that's the whole picture

Even the chrome in here starts looking expensive next to fresh kiwi green

This Matisse still life pulls pink

The flat paper-cut shapes give the room a clean

Anything plain and friendly will do

but the soft greens and blue-greys keep things calm

so it works with white tile

and the peach fan glows against the black velvet

Looks especially crisp framed in oak or white

Most winter scene prints behave

The wrapped canvas softens the edges and gives the foliage a slightly painterly feel
