Description

Alpine Cyclists Ascent Canvas PrintOpen the curtains at late afternoon; the mustard yellow will handle the drama. The piece does the heavy lifting in a room that already has good light and quiet walls. What changes when it goes up: a flat wall starts to feel like it has weather and distance. Eyes travel up the road, into the valley, then to the peaks so the room reads taller and longer than it is. Where to hang it: above a sofa, a console or a low sideboard in the living room or study.

or a quiet dining wall where the light shifts through the day

Don't crowd it with other big florals or another statement piece — it wants to be the loudest thing in the room

the sea washing through soft turquoise and sky blue behind them

Give it room to breathe — it doesn't want to fight for space

A ginger cat stretches across a deep green sofa beside two martinis

Hang it in a kids' bathroom or nursery and the room suddenly has a personality: bath-time becomes a little adventure

while the sky blue keeps the whole thing breathing

Printed on thick fine-art paper so the inky lines and soft leaf tones stay crisp

the monkey loses nostalgia and gains grit

terracotta pots and the odd bit of brass

true blacks

Skip anything cold or chrome-heavy nearby — it fights the colour
