Description

Tropical Muse Portrait Art PrintAgainst deep teal plaster, the soft pink reads less sweet, more deliberate. The woman's pink hair, the red feathers and the mustard leaves all pop without tipping into shouty. Hang it in a living room or study where you already have a bit of personality on the walls a velvet sofa, a rattan chair, plants on the floor. It works best as a solo feature above a console, sideboard or low bookshelf, with breathing room either side. Keep nearby pieces calmer

The wrapped canvas edge keeps things soft and informal

It brings the same hush back

It reads as holiday memory rather than postcard cliché

and the bay opens out to soft mountain ridges

A vintage-style Morris exhibition poster anchored by a rich navy tapestry and a tree heavy with red berries

white shelves

and the wall stops being a wall

the twin fish stops looking decorative and starts working

Works in a downstairs cloakroom

Skip the busy primary-colour decals and the high-contrast monochrome prints nearby — they will fight this one for attention rather than letting it settle the room

Don't try to crowd it with smaller prints — it works best as the loudest thing in the room

The crayon marks feel relaxed and confident
