Description

Before introducing the play I use the first lesson to explore the idea of in yer face theatre, which this play most certainly falls under. Note: I have not included learning objectives for each session; instead I have included generic learning

the module can be differentiated both up and down

We need to move away from this ‘what can I do

Select a different play text from the ones that they studied for Unit 1 or for Section B

Quite often we ask students to make a still picture or freeze-frame but I’ve often wanted something more

Production Process and Performing Arts Business

NN Understand the terms ‘Poor Theatre

This scheme of work has been developed through reading William E

To allow students to understand the stories and narrative of the SAT plays in a practical way

To explore the phrase non-verbal communication

Here are my suggestions for some approaches to solving the problems it generates which have worked with my own pupils

Number of lessons: 23

My intention with this scheme is that you can use the various texts to illustrate an idea and then encourage students to take those ideas and use them for different scenes that could fit into a piece of devised work
