Soft Gaze Cat Portrait Art PrintTest it this way: if the bedroom feels safe, size up. This is a soft, painterly cat portrait in cream, warm beige and pale sage quiet enough to live with for years, warm enough to feel like company. Hung above a bed, a low dresser or a reading chair, the room calms down around it. The brushwork brings a hand painted feel without shouting. Pair it with linen bedding, pale oak or walnut timber, boucl upholstery and a stoneware lamp. Avoid hanging it

Hang it on its own above a console

Don't hang it in a quiet bedroom or a serious living room — the subject belongs near food and drink

Hang it above a small worktop

where its tall shape suits a slim wall

or on the landing where you want people to stop for a second

and the white space around them does most of the work

Don't crowd it with other busy figurative prints — this piece wants room to breathe
