Description

London Flower Market by Matisse Canvas PrintWatch the flower market land, then the soft pink start doing damage. A loose, painterly take on a Matisse inspired London market scene, with mustard yellow, lilac and deep blue figures moving through banks of pink blooms. The room softens around it. Colours pick up on cushions, throws and ceramics without you having to plan it. Hang it where you want a lift above a bed, a hallway console, or behind a reading chair. Pair it with linen, pale oak, brass

Add a second food poster - pasta

crescent — in chalky off-white on a warm pink ground

Avoid hanging it next to other busy florals or another statement poster — give it room to be the thing you look at

This is a classic Italian aperitivo poster — the Campari bottle

Put it up and the wall warms by a few degrees

glossy black frames or anything shouty — the mood is quiet

Don't surround it with busy patterns or other high-contrast posters — this one wants a bit of space to do its job

all painted in loose

Best on a clean wall where the colours can do the talking: above a console

a pair of black cats and bright terracotta plant pots scattered across a chalky background

Skip glossy modern frames and anything chromatic next to it — this print wants soft surfaces and warm light

the soft pink sky looks almost illegally fresh
