Description

WASTED YEARS - Restless LPIt might just be a coincidence, but WASTED YEARS, despite being a brand new band, remind me of nerdy bands from the heydays of indie emo in the mid 90ties HANKSHAW, SAMUEL, maybe even BABY GOPAL kind of a sound long gone and forgotten and seldomly reviewed by bands these days. And ill gladly dive right into ex band name dropping here, because what a list do we have got here: This band is (among others) ex SHORT FUSE, VADERS, FORCE OF CHANGE,

indie/art rock and post-rock to create their original

Herzstück des Buchs ist der Sound von „Radio Cologne“: 28 Stücke auf fünf CDs lassen ein halbes Jahrhundert Revue passieren

With Shift

Low repeated this process for the better part of two years

Guests vocalist/pianist Chrissy Wolpert and vocalist Ben Eberle are used very sparingly

and Brook and Elliott’s membership of Flying Saucer Attack

The Velvet Underground

I hope that people feel nourished by this album - I believe that is the ultimate role of music

The instruments

sometimes left naked and unchanged as with the ethereal opening line (“Shall”) or the sensuous R&B refrains on “We”

but it’s so much more
