GAK SATO & TADAHIKO YOKOGAWA - Renga LPWRWTFWW Records is very happy to announce the release of Renga, the new collaborative album from Gak Sato and Tadahiko Yokogawa available on limited edition LP (300 copies worldwide !) housed in a heavyweight sleeve with inside out print of a beautiful artwork by Aoi Huber Kono. Renga (??, linked poem) is a genre of Japanese collaborative poetry in which alternating stanzas, or ku (?), of 5 7 5 and 7 7 morae (sound units or syllables per line) are

helical spumes of skin-crackling electronics on the London part

the duo headed to Mexico City and into Estudios Noviembres

With their most recent effort

45rpm cut audiophile pressing

REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

and a fascinating complement to the Anonymous and J Rider albums

imprinting

And the finished record is a phantasmagoric push-and-pull between its various conflicting elements: harmony and dissonance

The music and song writing can be somewhat ambiguous to some listeners who have devoted their life to the classic raw hardcore punk format

That's as plainly as it can be put

and Andrew Richardson — cut a rug with ringing guitars

aided by Joshua da Costa's monstrous and metronomic live drumming
