Description

Arisaema dracontium (Green Dragon)Arisaema dracontium (Green Dragon) is very similar to its cousin Arisaema triphyllum (Jack in the Pulpit) with the only major difference being the leaf shape and Jack being a bit more common. As opposed to the typical 3 leaf structure of the Jack Green Dragon can have between 5 and up leaflets fanning out. Once the leaves drop it is very difficult to tell the two apart. Both occur in similar oak wooded areas that tend to have remnant plant communities
