Description

Osmunda cinnamomea (Cinnamon Fern)A great moist woodland garden fern. The familiar "fiddleheads" uncoil from the base of the plant into large 2 4' long fronds which remain attractive throughout the year and turn yellow in autumn. The common name of this plant is in reference to the cinnamon colored fibers found near the frond bases used in the potting of orchids.
