Four Roses SN 48-2 J OESO 56% - D&M BarrelD&M STAFF NOTES (01 2026) TASTING: This is a barrel strength Four Roses that comes in at 56% ABV. The first nosing of the bottle upon opening starts with the aromas of an old bookstore, and with air in the bottle (next day) we picked up more aromas of cracker jacks. dried cranberries, toffee pudding, vanilla, cherry and orange peel. On the palate this has a presence that is unpacked with a splash of water. The flavors that come up are a mix of

citrus and black pepper

The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir was fermented separately in barrel with native yeast at 60-70°F

The 2021 is impeccably done

TASTING: This Grower Champagne is based around 2015 with 40% coming from a reserve

Careful sorting in the vineyard and in the vat room will often be necessary to bring in the grapes in the best conditions
