Description

VINTAGE PERSIAN KASHANKashan carpets embody the classical Persian tradition with Shah Abbas medallions and scrolling arabesques. Woven with fine kork wool, they offer softness, strength and luminosity. Natural madder and indigo dyes mature beautifully over time. Their symmetry and density reflect courtly refinement.

Each piece tells it’s own story

The art of transition

Antique examples display softened palettes with graceful tonal movement

the verneh construction offers exceptional durability without the weight of pile carpets

Borders are thoughtfully layered

symmetrical layouts

These rhythms were indelibly transposed into the coloured knots of the nomad's primitive hand woven rugs

A primitive ethnographic art form was created that has endured with the passage of time in the same manner as it began thousands of years ago that started the evolution of all domestic textiles that adorn us today
