Description

KarimboRecorded in Mozambique during the catastrophic floods earlier in 2000, this debut release from Mabulu is a lilting and uplifting testament to hope. From Lisboa Matavel, the Grand Old man of marrabenta who started singing in the 1960s, to 22 year old Chiquito, representing the new Mozambican rap movement, the band are an inspirational mix of tradition and modernity. 'A joyous celebration of terrific guitar playing and some attention grabbing rapping.'
