Description

Vintage King by HN White: Christmas TreesI recovered this bell from an old, somewhat delicate King by HN White. I could not find any information on its original construction date, and am guessing it is around 40s or 50s vintage. It is quite lightweight and sports a few more scars than some of the other vintage bells. It has been delacquered, cleaned, fitted with an Alexander ring, and 8 Christmas tree silhouettes with an accompanying Christmas star have been soldered onto the outer bell

The phases of the moon are represented by eight moon silhouettes

and two Orion constellations were soldered onto the outer bell surface

its overall condition after all these years indicates good materials and craftsmanship when it was originally made

It weighs 407g after the paint application

bell height: 5-13/16 inches

You select whether you want to use a coupler system (cheaper) or individual crook for each key (more costly)

000s serial number

It has been removed from the battered old horn

its 80727 serial number dates it to 1956

C-alto crook: $150

Seven of the silhouettes are in nickel silver and depict the waxing and waning moon phases

This customized bell is part of a unique duo–its garland is engraved in the second half of the Sigfried’s long call
