Description

2022 Pierre-Marie Chermette Moulin-a-Vent Les Trois Roches [JG94]Producer: Pierre Marie Chermette Region: Moulin A Vent, Beaujolais, Burgundy, France Varietal: Gamay Year: 2022 John Gilman, 94 Points "The Chermette familys Moulin Vent les Trois Roches is a brilliant young wine in 2022. As I have mentioned before, the wine is made from a blend of fruit from three different lieux dits in the appellation of Moulin Vent: les Rochegrs, la Roche Noire and la Rochelle. The 2022 version offers up a pure and very deep

Triple distilled one batch at a time in traditional

la Roche Noire and la Rochelle

Distilled from hearty New York rye

planted in 2007 at about 400 m of altitude

000 were cases made

drawing out those red fruit tones on a long and lively finish

and rye spiciness

"This has aromas of plum stones

The blend is mostly red grapes—51 percent pinot noir and 32 percent meunier with 17 percent chardonnay—and all that red fruit gives the wine dense and sunny raspberry power

orange and rosé from 12 different varieties

"Its dense ruby hue flecked with crimson and purple tints is delightful
