Description

Tilia cordata 'Shibamichi Gold' Golden Little Leaf LindonTilia cordata 'Shibamichi Gold' 'Akira Gold' Golden Yellow Little Leaf Linden Zones 3 7 Part Sun Full Sun Tilia cordata 'Shibamichi Gold' is golden selection of little leaf linden that was selected by Mr Akira Shibamichi of Japan and introduced into the United States by Barry Yinger. The spring color of linden also known as 'Akira Gold' can be a brililant yellow if given some sunlight. During the summer, the color fades, but is still a brighter green

Unlike many other selections

which isn't very cold tolerant

Fall colors are bright orange reds

in full sun in the south the leaf on 'Geisha Gone Wild' changes to a green with cream variegation

The secondary flush of growth returns to a bright pink-red creating a dynamic contrast over the light green leaves

This gives a great alternative and provides a lot of color while not blocking vision elsewhere in the garden
