Lucien Crochet Sancerre Rose 2025Our stalwart partner in Sancerre produces wines of impeccable focus, mouthwatering minerality, and outstanding concentration from their sizable holdings in Bu, in the heart of the appellation. Crochets complex and age worthy Sancerre Ros is pure Pinot Noir, from vines planted in Oxfordian and Kimmeridgian limestone; it is harvested by hand (a rare practice in Sancerre), pressed directly, and aged on its fine lees in stainless steel for six months.

The wines remain aging in barrel for 11 months before finishing in stainless steel

Both a wine and a mission statement

evokes forest depths

The grapes are not destemmed

In addition to a small planting of Clairette

the “Collezione” is a bit less immediately forward and exuberant than the above

which spoke of the Langhe source
