Description

Antique French Religious Reliquary - Holy Family under GlassPurchased by me in Paris France about 40 years ago, this is one religious icon reliquary that I always thought I would hold on to. Oval in shape and under glass, here's a handmade (usually by nuns) religious image of the Holy Family Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary and the Infant Jesus. Now the faces and hands of the image are Antique Victorian die cuts while the clothing of the figures is genuine looks like satin but most likely is silk as it drapes

The floral should be attached to any item that needs washing with a pin - this way

the piece not only has a patina to the varnish but a bit of chippiness adding to the shabby chic-ness look

From top of the glass beads to bottom measures 4-3/4"

For Valentine's Day - for any day

here's an Antique Victorian cabinet card depicting the portrait of a young girl

Condition is excellent

here's a large cabinet card

a lovely girl I knew passed away suddenly

stuck in a barrel

I added some silver/pink fringe to the edge

but it is entirely unique and ONE OF A KIND

width is 7/16"
