A decorative vintage Indian wooden carved hand painted folk art watchman figure.A decorative vintage Indian wooden carved hand painted folk art watchman figure. These figures often called Darwan figures or chowkidar were traditionally used as a protective symbol outside homes, shops or temples and were often given as house warming gifts to ward off bad luck. I have two of these which can be bought as a pair with combined postage. Each is listed separately. One has a rifle to the left hand side and one to the right hand side.
